Default Need info on 72 Luxury Le Mans

I have had this car now for about a month and I am trying to get more info on it. It is a Luxury LeMans and it has bucket seats, console shift, disk breaks(front), and wood grain trim. Now that it is 40 years old, it has had different wheels added and a few minor mods. What did it look like originally? It was green, but now white, green interior is stock. Would it have had stripes? Vinyl top? Chrome trim?(where?)
I also saw an ad for a 1972 Luxury Le Mans and it said that there were only 1650 made. Is that true? Any info or links to info would be great. I can find lots on GTO and T-37/GT-37, but not the Luxury.

No, more than 1650 were made, the LLM was a hit in 72. No stripes either. Check online for images of LLM to see where the chrome trim was located.

Vinyl tops were not standard, but the medallion on the sail panels [C pillar] were.

LLMs had their own special front grill, LLM emblems on quarter sail panel, full length body side trim, half front wheel well moldings, rear fender skirts, rear decklid trim, rear sectional/divider tail lights, different deluxe hubcaps. Interior had wood grain dash insert. Thru the years, alot of LLM's have been "detrimmed" to look more like a regular Lemans.

A case of "scarce, but nobody cares" though, so don't feel too guilty. No one would give you any money more for a LLM than a similarly equipped Lemans or Tempest.

I've got a '72 LLM that was originally cameo white with black interior, buckets, console and floor shifter, 2.78 open rear, 350 2bbl, and disc brakes. I've had it for almost 13 years now (my first "real" car).

Well thanks for all the info. Mine is one that has been detrimmed and will stay that way. I like the bucket seats and floor shift, but the rest is gone or soon to be.
