I believe the order was altered on the line, but purely a guess on my part. Other sources listed car as one of 215 or one of 216...depending on source. Just saying....looks like you got the real deal and I wouldn't concern myself with the rocker moldings not being listed. Stranger things have happened. Nice ride. Do her proud! Ron

Ron,
I also have seen blips in PHS's but your 2bbl example is not a mistake, the 2bbl option was a no charge and since the PHS is an accounting document only it does not refer to options that have no financial impact. Something to consider when buying a auto trans GTO, no way to know from the PHS if it was a 2bbl car.
Another example of this is notchback seat, no option is shown (but you know from the trim code)

A common area I have seen a mistake is tinted glass, about one in ten AC cars shows softray on the windshield only, which is debatable if this was permitted with AC. But either way, every time I have seen one of those cars in the flesh they all had tint all around.

Another area is things like HD cooling, some RA IV cars show it as a seperate charged option (as the ordering books show it must be) but others do not have it, same for speedo adapters.

I parted years ago a 69 GTO convert that was a rotten mess but 100% virgin unmolested (I knew the only owner who did not know a carb from a lugnut) and the car had 3.23 gears (even though it was a base engine auto no AC and no axle options) and a clutch fan (like AC cars) but again no HD clutch fan option on the PHS.

You regularily see PHS's that have hand written corrections on them, probably in response to dealer complaints about missing items, figure for every one of those there was another one that was not corrected since I never heard of a car salesman who would notify the factory because the car had an option the dealer was not charged for, and others where the dealer failed to notice missing or incorrect options.

The bad news about this is that if you have a car with a desirable option like an optional motor that somehow did not show up on the PHS you are out of luck short of having a buildsheet or a convincingly virgin car.

Good to see the PHS paper trail coming in. I, also, am curious as to your plans for it.
I'm going to look at a GT-37 on Sunday. It is a #'s driver 350/3-spd, 3.23posi car.
I dont want to be tacky here, but my luck is that I always buy something 2 days before what I'm really looking for becomes available. So maybe I can buck that trend if I ask early.

supposed to be a numbers car. We'll see. PHS puts it as 350/3spd, 3.23 Safe-T-trac, Rally gauges. Dont know what else. I didnt see the PHS.
Quezal Gold, Jade cloth and a black roof. Cant even imagine what thats like. car is gold/black vinyl seats and door panels and no top right now. looks pretty complete from pics I got.

I know of a quezal gold 71 GT-37 for sale in OK (at least I think it's still for sale). 350 2bbl 3sp. non a/c. don't know rear gears. paint faded pretty good. minor body damage which will require a passenger fender at least. oh and header panel. interior a little rough. it's vinyl, not cloth.

this has been discounted as well. as I saw PHS on a RA IV clone that actually listed it as the "2-bbl carb- regular gas engine.". Although there was no charge...it was still an option and listed on the sheet. My PHS specified "YS" engine...totally incorrect. Again, this I have witnessed. Same with glass. This air conditioned ragtop and my four speed/ air '69 Grand Prix had straight glass and was listed as such...w/s only. I cannot comment on the other things...only what I know to be fact. Thanx. Ron

People in one room (the dealer ship) put the order together for the car. People in another room put out the order for the car as to what it is supposed to be optioned with. People in yet another room, well maybe several of them, actually put them together.

Sometimes when they ran out of one they used another or just assumed that a certian thing went on a certian car.

With all this mis-communication I guess I shouldn't complain that the 455HO stickers were missing. Of course, it made it sneakier. With the hood closed you would never know. Ya just never know what that gray 2 dr sedan, dog dish hub caps, no chrome or cid call outs next to you has under the hood. It should be a 6, right???? ;-))

Could you post those PHS`s I have never seen one with a no charge option, maybe the clone was a LeMans with the 350 as a option.

By the way the 4spd I bought from you last year is finally in the car!
