Bad enough have to worry about cars on both sides of you and front to back.
Now have to worry about above you?

This is great! Should get me to the early bird specials in no time. For future reference I prefer to be called a “Sun Bird”.

Pretty sure flying cars have been around for quite some time.

I guess flying isn't the problem, it's the landing?

Yeah but they'll fall out of the skies on to the roads or in buildings as shown of the ground idiots above. That's not good either. Airplanes do enough of that already.

I had an Instrument rating briefly - it is a very difficult thing to do singlehanded in an aircraft without A/P. I cannot see this happening unless the "cars" are completely autonomous.

Be interesting to learn more about regulations.

Will it be registered as an airplane, or car, or both?

What type of license would the operator need? Pilot's license? Car license?

Where is it legal to fly one?

And most importantly, how will it be insured?

I really don't see it "getting off the ground" in the foreseeable future.

Jon.

takeoffs are optional; landings are mandatory.
