KRE tripower intake horsepower and torque numbers Holley and Rochesters
Jeff Kauffman sent me these numbers today. I had supplied KRE with a set of Rochesters modified by opening up the Venturi area on all three to 1 3/8"
Motor was a 461 Pontiac with KRE heads, running pump gas and a hydraulic roller cam. Holleys...641 HP and 575 torque Rochesters...607 HP and 561 torque fuel/air ratios very similar |

How about some actual specs on this engine, Jeff should be able to share them with you.
Cam, compression, Holley carb part numbers, head air flow numbers, header size, fuel octane, etc. Please post the dyno sheets if you would.

Has there been any more follow up to this? Maybe on another thread I missed. Mostly I'm still curious about the Holley carbs that were used

Yes, love to hear more.
Theory on why Holley perform better? What were the motor details? Cam, etc. Would have liked to see new intake vs stock dual plane or repop aluminum…. |

I, too, would like to see the comparisons. Which Holley carbs? Stock Rochester Tri-Power carbs?
How do the numbers compare with Rochester carbs on the new intake vs. stock?

Rochester carbs on KRE manifold
If anyone is interested,, I could supply the same carburetors that were tested by KRE on the new manifold.
The end carbs are correct Tripower carburetors. Center is an excellent clone. All three are opened up to 1 3/8 inches. Center carb has an electric choke added Kaufmann still has the carburetors, but I can get them back when needed. I am also building a pair of end carburetors that are also opened up oversize.
