Default Tigers on the Columbia

The Northwest GTO Legends is reviving the 25-year tradition of hosting a Regional GTO/Pontiac Car Show in the Great Pacific Northwest. The Goat Herd Club of Oregon established this long tradition by hosting a weekend long event called “Tiger Run”. The last Tiger Run event was held in Portland in 2015.

Our new event, Tigers on the Columbia will be held on the banks of the grand Columbia River at the beautiful Howard Amon Park in Richland, WA. The Show itself will be held on Saturday, May 27, with the Awards Banquet held that evening in the ballroom of the host hotel – Richland Red Lion. All Pontiacs will be eligible for awards.

There are a number of other activities offered on this Memorial Day Weekend including Drag Racing at Renegade Raceways near Yakima, WA. Other activities include a Cruise In to a local burger joint, Columbia River dinner cruise, a Columbia Jet Boat tour and a 4-hour wine tasting tour.

THIS IS THE GTOAA REGIONAL WEST COAST SANTIONED EVENT.

For more information about the Show, Drag Racing and Hotels, check out our web site:

Car Classes have been established for Tigers on the Columbia. 1st and 2nd place awards will be given to 18 GTO classes, 2 LeMans classes, a Firebird/TransAm class, a Fiero Class, 3 "Other Pontiac" classes and a Competition class. Registrations are going well and the host hotel, the Richland Red Lion, is nearly sold out. There are still a few rooms left at the Red Lion and there are plenty of rooms available at the nearby overflow hotels. Go to our web site to get all of the details and register to the Show and book your hotel room. The site: northwestlegends.com

Had a great time this weekend at The Tigers on the Columbia event! Great people and great venue! Steve brought down one of my favorite rides. It was a fan favorite and won many trophies.

My son Cam, on the right, and his friend with the 67 LeMans they drove up from Sherwood Oregon. First car show he drove himself to.

Glad you made your way down with your "Project" winning 65. The NW GTO Legends worked hard on this event. We hope all of you enjoyed it and we look forward to doing it again next year! Tell all of your Pontiac friends.

Not my car, just liked it a lot.
All my friends knew about it just didn't seem to see many of them there.

That damn thumbnail picture is so small I can't see what wheels are on it. Was this the car that was put on a u-haul trailer?

No, I had an enclosed trailer. I have an all original, survivor, Concours Gold 64 GTO. It has "Deluxe" wheel covers on it.

Yes, I remember it. I wish I would have paid more attention as I didn't know it was a survivor. Does it have original paint?

Yes it has original lacquer paint. I have a sign that I usually display with it that explains all of that. I took it out for Nationals last year to be Concours judged and didn't have it with me for the Tigers on the Columbia show. Being Pres. of NW GTO Legends, Chairing the National Convention and now doing the Tigers on the Columbia has taken away a lot of time I can spend on my actual car issues.
