Default pcv system diagram

I have a 69 400 in my 65 it has a crome AM air breather I have a line going from back of carb to valve in valley pan.

What should the valve covers have, plugs or breathers. there is no emissions pump.

Thanks

Greg

If you don't have a way for the air to get into the crankcase, then the corrosive gases from there that are supposed to pass thru the PCV Valve and the hose to the back of the, carb really does nothing or possibly weakens the oil pan gaskets and other gaskets over time.

You need at least one breather in one valve cover.
