It's a record changer? Appears to be 45 RPM?
I assume the foot switch simply operates a motor-drive of the radio tuner shaft? Does any of the unit work?

Does any of this work? Doubt if it would without a thorough cleaning. Did not realize the garage roof had a leak and left a lot of moisture in the garage. The Highway Hi-Fi record player records are 16 2/3 speed and can only be played on a Highway Hi-Fi system. Have no idea how the foot switch worked.
It is tempting to hook up 12 volts to it and see if it still works. |

I assume that's an aftermarket brand. I thought that Chrysler was the only manuf that installed them. Def. a cool period piece. I would think in the right circles that would bring a decent price. Maybe advertise in Old Cars or Hemmings. I have seen them in a few cars but never a stand alone unit. And yes, there was a specific platter size just for those. Standard 33/45/78 wont work.

Seems like I remember seeing one in one of the Barris cars ... maybe some car like the Monkee mobile or similar.
