I know everyone is ass patting but I'm the devil's advocate... those numbers seem low for that combo in my opinion.... 14.8-1...that's packed fairly tight

Heads ? are they KRE CNC 400cfm High Ports ?
I heard that head is just sorta tall and narrow. Know a guy who had a set and sent them out for further port work by one of our guys here and really picked up.
A really good head should get that on pump gas. Not that I have ever made it but its in the works.
But its a bracket engine and if its makes that power and lasts without a bunch of maintenance its a win I say.

I gotta get to know and talk to more guys. Your list is increasingly impressive.
(Ball-busting)

Sounds like a killer combo to me. Now get it installed and beat on it, let’s see what it does at the track!

Thanks guys. I'd like to add that this build is a platform for future improvements. IM me if you want more detail or have recommendations to make more hp reliably.

That's a nice piece. There's nothing wrong with a 890hp bracket engine. Any "expert" that posts something negative should bring out their bullet and line it up. But then the reality is they don't have anything that nice.

1.64 HP per CID is pretty decent amount of HP for a lowly bracket engine.
His race car's engine is 955 HP!

This will be another killer combo for bracket racing.
As if he needs that!

Will this go in a dragster or the car?

So what is the difference between the 950hp race engine and this 890 bracket engine?

I never said anything was wrong with an 890 bracket engine... all I said was the numbers seemed low for the combo of parts... dont get so butthurt snowflake...
As far as bringing my bullet and lining up, i could show up with a honda and put it on the trailer....its a bracket car.

950 hp is with 430cfm heads, 890 is with 400 cfm heads. Math works out pretty good......

Congrats Aaron, any additional work to the Victor?

Should be a very low maintenance engine!
