Is there a way to track radiator shroud numbers?
I bought a used radiator shroud for my 72 lemans with T41 front end. I finally am at the assembly point and found it isn't correct as the seller said it would fit.
The number on it is 487630. Is there a way to find what this shroud actually fits? |

I have an NOS 70-72 one here that has 487330 on it.
Maybe post a pic of the one you have. |

Will look at my originals & nos later today. Factory 3 core shrouds are different than 4 core versions.

There are suddle difference s in that shroud. When I was looking for the correct one for my car I learned after the part number there will be a single digits number. A 1. 2. Or 3. The shroud I needed had the battery protect er on it.

Quote:
487330 was the v8 Pontiac A-body shroud used with a factory 3 core radiator. This latter number was the fan shroud one could order from GM dealer or through parts catalogues in the late 80's- 90's. ordered quite a few of these through local Chevy dealer. there is considerable sized area on each side that have to be very carefully trimmed in order to sandwich a 4 core radiator into a stock 3 core shroud.

the "battery protector" or molded in "wing", one will see on '69's as well as some early '70 model shrouds.
