Yeah, mrgto69 mentioned that in his post, you can go back and see why this happened for you.

I still feel there is too much of a gap. I have an early 70s 2nd gen f-body formula hub, I may try that on the new column, see what that gap looks like.

Maybe I will swap them back and forth between the two columns and note the difference.

The gap on the 71 'bird I have is tight. If I could get one of the original ones I have refurb'd, I'd probably use that.

Funny that AMES sells the bun with SAE machined holes,but includes metric bolts with the hub. They do sell just the bolts. Those are probably SAE, but I didn’t buy them because I assumed they were the same as the ones that were included with the hub. Silly me...

Yeah, I think that was a simple mix-up, my 'kit' came with the correct screws.
