Speed Hut are having a 4th July sale. Might be a good time to buy.

A few quick questions for those who have recently purchased speedhut gauges.
- will they still remove their logo for $50?
- how much extra was it for the custom designed faces?
- what fits best in our dash, 4” tach/speedo or the 3 3/8”
- I assume the 2 1/16” is beat for the small gauges

Thanks!

have to call em, 50 is what it cost me.
I chose my faces within their pattern choices so paid no xtra than the 50.

It didn’t cost any extra to do the complete custom graphics.

I went with the 4 1/2” gauges for the speedo and tach because the bezels end up exactly where the originals did. It did require some slight enlarging of the factory holes.

How long ago did you guys order your gauges from Speedhut? I called & a woman answered (not sure of her name) but she said they don't do custom stuff anymore & they cant remove their logo... WTF... :-( I couldn't find their templates either so if you have a link LMK. I was just about to download Adobe Illustrator too. I did these 2 options in paint & it took FOREVER. So frustrating bc I called on the last day of the sale to order them as a place holder & then send in my graphics & now I don't know what to do!

this freaked me out in case I needed warranty work so I checked it out. ordered mine about a year and a half ago.

called and she did say they can no longer remove the speedhut logo. (legal thing? maybe I'm the only one that ever requested that? mine are logo-less. would not stop me from buying though. very small logo)

I asked her if any changes to how the gauges are built have occurred, she said no, art dept. still produces custom faces.

also the web site is the same, clicked on build gauges now, (mine are "revolution") then click the particular gauge and it brings up a page to make the changes. all works as it did with me.

she said there about 3 to 4 weeks out. so nothing earth shattering here, just cant get the logo removed anymore.

..........no basis to suggest this but if it were me I would ask to speak with someone in the art department about removing the logo. persist a bit more.

the older lady that answered I had no dealings with. spoke to a young fella and the art department. the older lady wasn't very well spoken. didn't seem a "pro". FWIW

nice design! kinda retro yet modern.

They simply want their brand visible, no legalities. The phone people have been told not to accept anything that says otherwise.

The templates for customer artwork are still on their website under support/instructions. Way down at the end of all of the different instructions.

Thanks for checking as well as letting me know. I think if you can get through the phone people & talk to the ones that do the work we can probably get some customization done. Logos are not a deal breaker just sucks to have them there on a custom designed gauge package....

I'm about ready to install a set in my 70 Formula. I had to wait several months for it to show up, but worth it. I'm using a module that connects to the FAST ecm, which cut down on the wiring and # of sensors. Should know in a couple weeks how well it works. Looks better in person than in pics.

That does look nice! Looks like they did not make a provision for the prism that backlights the lights/wiper indicator. One small LED could fill that void.

The wire and cable diet is a cool benefit, especially if you run an aftermarket AC.

Wondering how they handle the speedo. If 100% electronic, can they get signal from a trans mounted speed sensor for a cruise control ? Does it have its own?
