Heater Core
Has anyone done a 66 heater core recently. Non A/C. What brand and where did you get it? My Catalina core has started leaking.

Quite some years back I had the under dash components mostly pulled out while I was sorting out the ATC in my '66 Grand Prix. Pulled out the heater core just for a look and found that while it was not leaking, it had small signs that it was probably not far away from giving me trouble.
Took it to a quality radiator place who fitted a new core. Maybe I could have found a new one but where would it have been made??? Most likely China. Went with the local repair guy and I was real happy with the job they did. So I'd look at that option. Find a quality radiator shop that actually makes radiators and get them to make a new core for you. Go with a brass core. You don't want an aluminium heater core and a brass radiator. Too many unequal metals. Ian
