Default Trans mount had studs??

I was looking in the assembly manual to see if there where actually lock washers used between the large crossmember washers & the bolts that passed through them into the bottom of the rear trans mount. I was surprised the see the manual shows studs! Did some cars come this way? I could see id being beneficial for assembly purposes, but I have picture (although a blurry one) when I removed original hardware & it had just bolts. big washers on the bottom, lock washers on the mount to trans connection.

interesting........

Don't mind the "gold" comment. I just decided to plate them in gold, it was a note for me to figure out what was what when things came back from the metal plater.

Pretty sure they were just rust & likely black oxide or phosphate.

I don't see any studs in the 68 factory/assembly manuals or the restoration guide. Just bolts and washers.
Bolts and flat washers from the crossmember to the mount, bolts and lock washers from the mount to the trans.

Maybe another cup o'Joe may help.

I think the restoration manual drawing may be for earlier cars.

Yep, Sure enough I was looking at the Grand Prix page.

Here's the originals next to the repro's.
Washers are the same diameter, but thicker & have sharpe edges where the originals have rounded edges by comparison.
