I’ve had many birds over the years, and the reason I am on these forums. But I have never looked at a survivor car to purchase, that’s why I’m posting this because I know members here have a good idea of what might be a fair asking price as well as a fair offer, seeing the cars condition. On another forum I was told $30 to 40k but that’s a big span of price.

I didn't mean they were trying to hide anything. It's just the way the pics were taken, you really can't really see the package shelf, just a tiny slice of it. Same with the door panels. Just the rear area, not the front lower where aftermarket speakers are often punched in. Same with the kick panels. Of course you will look at all these things in person when you check it out. Again, looks like a nice car priced at about current market value or slightly below.

I am not knowledgeable on Firebirds/Trans Ams so I went searching and found this site that may give you some ideas of where and what to look for. It also shows a spare tire that matches the one in the car you are looking at.

Not my cup of tea (way too modern) but honest cars like this that are mostly original, great color combos, and with a 4 speed are few and far between at any price. The fact it is mostly all original is a big deal, IMO. I like it a lot for what it is. I can't see finding a nicer one for less that hasn't been messed with. If you like it, if it 'speaks' to you, buy it. But look at it in person first.

Well I'll be...that spare looked like a pretty wide/low profile tire that I wouldn't expect as a typical space saver.

This is why I come here for help I deem myself a pro on first gen birds, but only 60% on second gen birds.

Maybe it's just me but I would want to see the car on a lift. It just looks too clean!

That's what I thought...I wouldn't have thought they made the space saver spares for much longer after 77, and I can't fathom them being made in a low profile....Shoot the G70R-15's that came on those cars new, were a pretty radical/wide tire for that time! I believe only the Corvette had a wider tire, and that may have happened starting in 1978, when the Corvette changed...some...

MA, My space saver spare looks like the one in Burt. I think my inflation can may be red, though....

We intend to this weekend. I have seen pictures of the under carriage, and it does need cleaned up. Trust me we will be going over it with a fine toothed comb the info with the car states the radio is after market, so that will be something to consider, as well Make sure the dash wasn’t cut up putting it in. In my opinion from the pics I’ve seen of the underneath appear to be typical of a car with this mileage, nothing appears broken or rotted, but the in person visit will tell the story. We’re not looking for another project, as we’re still working on my Bandit car. However if it’s little things I’m ok with that. I have a heated shop with a lift.

Very nice looking Bird. Almost "too" nice. I've not seen a trunk interior covered like that before though. The trunk seal also looks to be installed backwards. Also a non a/c car, which I prefer.
To the question is it too much, not in my opinion if the pics are representative of the rest of the car.

Car looks very nice- I think the price is very good if it’s as clean as it looks in the pics.

It’s very nice to buy a car you can enjoy right away and there is just something about a survivor car that hasn’t been blown apart.

If you saw my other thread it looks like prices are high on everything right now- I’m actually surprised it’s not higher.

Considering 15k gets you junk or a project you need to re-do I think your in a good spot with this car.

It presents so well in the pictures that i would expect it has been repainted/decaled.
Jambs and all, and done well.

If all that is factory paint in the underhood, fender jambs and trunk jambs then that car is pure solid cream puff deluxe with a cherry on top.
Driven and stored in extremely well manner, highest manners possible.

It has had fluffing, but you would fluff it too, so fluff yourself on over there and good luck to you.
It's a low option car of the right kind , no drawbacks

Sorry if I missed someone mentioning this, but how about running a PHS service on her before you lay your money down?
That would be nice to have if you purchased her anyway.
She looks like a real beauty! Best of luck

The ebay price is a little light. I have it in high teens now, low 20's in the spring. If it is a numbers matching W72 car, and you want it as a keeper, I would hit them at $20k. The stick is a huge plus but lacking the T-tops and not being black makes a world of difference in price.
