Goodmark Core Support for '67 GTO
Had to buy one of these to replace the broken one in my '67 GTO. The holes for the hood bumpers are 9/16" round, and the studs on the bumpers are 5/16-18. Other than a nut underneath and a jam nut on top, any ideas for mounting the bumpers? The nut underneath is going to be inaccessable once the header panel and grille components are mounted, at least as far as I can see, and subsequent adjustments are going to be next to impossible...

Use 5/16-18 rivet nuts in the 9/16" holes if possible. Or .. weld a nut on the bottom.

If I'm picturing this correctly, you need to move the bumpers inboard an inch or so.
On OEM rad supports, there's an indentation (kinda looks like a really big thumbprint) where they're supposed to live. |

Here is what DogMeister is pointing out. This is the place they should be.
