68 big car front bumpers
Hello, can anyone inform me if all 68 Cat, Bonneville, GP front bumpers are all the same, with different grill inserts? Thanks

Mitchell's interchange book says all 1968 full size Pontiac models interchange, The 1969 parts book, in group 7.831, says part #9790056 "Bar" is the same for all 1968 (P-8)full size models. So I'd say the chrome front bumper is the same.

Unless you want hideaway lights. Catalina and some bonneville front bumpers don't have the mounting point for the hideaways

You read my mind, I am very close on a 68 Cat wagon, really like the GP look. 69 big cars look very similar to the 68 as well. Thanks for the info I appreciate it.

69 looks similar, but the hood point is on the bumper not a part of the hood like on the 68

Yes, all 68 B body bumpers were the same. GP's had hideaways and at some point in the production they were also offered as an option on Bonnevilles. I suspect it was an attempt to use up the inventory since GP's were not big sellers. So to answer your question any bumper frame will work. What style of grille you want is up to you; either what you like or if you want to be technically correct.
BTW ...hideaways do require additional parts: switch, vacuum canister; headlight buckets and frames, and of course the headlight cover doors.
