Jim,
What I was hoping to do was take the numbers from the time slip and see if I was able to simulate what it would have run if the belt had no broken.

I’m thinking it might have been a 8.02, it all depends on how it was pulling top end. I did make a jet change on that pass which seems to have slowed it down in the 1/8 mile from the pass before, even though the weather was better.

Time slip on left is first pass, shutting off at 1/8 mile, slip on right is run with belt breaking about 7 sec into run (800-900').
I jetted up from 192 to 200 on second pass, looking at numbers it slowed down even though the weather got better.
Only running 11-12 lbs of boost.

George,
Thanks for posting the time slips. I was not able to get anything to workout.

Going to Milan to make some test hits Wednesday, just to make sure everything is ok. Hate to travel to a 3 day race and find out I have a problem!

No CHEVY SH_T here.......just good old fashion Pontiac stuff!
I made two passes at milan Wednesday, 1st pass was basically a sissy 1/8 mile pass ( track was loose) I was in and out of it a couple of times.........2nd pass was better, I made a 1/4 mile hit. Ran a 8.15 @ 170 with change. It hook pretty good but spun right after the hook and at both gear changes. It seems the engine and blower is fine, that was the purpose of the test hit! The temp was HOT 90 degrees on my 2nd hit with 55% humidity ( 3,000’ da), so I’m happy. Now I’m going to unload it and check a few things.....timing, valve lash, etc.
PS........I will be buying a new blower for next year ( maybe later this year) it all depends on a few things, nothing bigger just a more efficient blower!

Update time..........so while checking the lash on the rockers when I got to the last pair no.8 I noticed I had about 1/2” of lash...WTF! Pulled the shaft rocker section off and took the pushrod out it it was beat to death on both ends, also found the lash cap just laying inside the head. I have no idea what caused what......it would seem something got loose. Well just to make sure nothing else was broken I pulled the blower, intake & valley pan off to check the lifter. The lifter seems to be fine ditto on cam lobes except for the pocket of the intake lifter.....I have a spare but will check with KRE for a new one along with a set of pushrods. They are 3/8” and 10” long and I thought I was going to have a boring week!! LOL!

Made it to mid-Michigan motorplex, getting ready to unleash the BIG DOG! Hopefully I can improve on my no.5 qualifying last time in the Quick 8!

Keep us posted. It's a slow summer in racing for sure.

After one round of qualifying for the Quick 8 I’m no.7 with a 5.08, I may change a pulley for no 2 qualifying pass!
I did lose 1st round of the bracket race.....cut a .004 light but ran off a bit 5.097 (spun tires a tad) on a 5.08 dial in.

OK, I ended up no. 6 qualifier with a 5.065, the driver (me) was killing the tree all weekend....every light was a .00 something. I ran first round but lost round when my steering wheel came off after the car lunched! Cut a .013 light after rolling in .004 into the box! I have no freaking clue what happened to the steering wheel....came close to hitting the wall but I saved it some how!

I was being chased be no. 8 qualifier and the no.9...........they never caught the GTO. My next race is Milan in two weeks! A little FYI........when I ran my 7.98 pass it went 5.109 in the eight!
