Disregard this post. My friend had not looked in the trunk of his recent purchase until last night. Guess what? The missing ash tray.

An interesting post, might be what we have found in the trunks of Pontiacs over the years. I bought a 67 parts car a few years back . The only car I have ever had and not searched the trunk. I took a few needed parts off the car and sold it for $400. Learned about six months later, the new owner opened the trunk. Inside was the usual array of discarded items and a decomposed envelope. He was able to salvage $1500 of the cash inside . There had to be two sick individuals. Me, and the poor sap up left it originally. That is my true story/nightmare. What is yours??

Always look everywhere. You would be surprised what parts I found under the seats, under the back seat and tucked in over the hump in the trunk.
