Yeah the green 62 was a buddy of mine’s; ran a 9.23 Saturday night, I believe. Absolutely gorgeous car!

Like i said earlier Tommy stopped by and we talked for about 30 minutes Friday night and ........his words not mine (it doesn't matter to me why he runs) that he ran a 4.09 1/8 mile at 2,700 lbs. on small tire's. This post is just to correct some rumors out there.

I was the runner up against the dragster of John Martin in the quick 16.
I race in pro so I don't have the a delay box but I entered anyway. Also Friday my trans brake stopped holding so Saturday and Sunday I was foot braking the car. I honestly believe if I had the left lane the result would have been different. I was cutting great lights in the left but he had lane choice. The car ran from a 9.02 to a 9.17 all weekend long and I made 13 laps down the track. Overall a great weekend with great weather. That makes me 28 for 28 Tri Power Sundays / Pontiac Nationals and was one I will never forget for sure!

PS Congrats George on the 7 second pass. I'm sorry I missed it.

Congrats, Todd!
John is a great racer.

Congrats to Ken also.
He is usually in the finals every year it seems like.

Heard Probird had a problem and was racing his Dad's car.

I did. I ran my dad's 74 all weekend. I broke the #3 rod on the very first pass on Friday before the 60' clocks. It took all of Friday and Saturday morning to get all the bugs and gremlins worked out of Dad's car. I lost 2nd round both Fri and Sat. Saturday I lost to RB3 (Ron Beach the 3rd). Finally went some rounds on Sunday. I lost at 7 cars to Ron Beach Jr. Those Beach boys had my number. We had a great time even with all the issues. I'll post up some autopsy pics in another thread of the engine damage once I get it pulled out tonight.

I had a great time until the Chief run offs. Had a clock malfunction that said my 60 had picked up .085 from the 3 previous runs. The lady in charge said the track might have got better. LOL. Naturally I go under while killing about 15 MPH. She said your 60's have nothing to do with your E.T. For some one in charge she did not have a clue. Oh well try again next year.

i had the same issue in the previous round, i went 1.18 sixty foot previous best was 1.26. tower lady, who was super nice, tried to explain it away as staging difference. also gave me a .150 light video shows its dead nuts on. i had been in the teens and 20s all weekend for RT.
We were not the only people affected by this as i understand it.

Congrats to you however, on a great job over the weekend
