Default Removing Paint from Plastic

I have some paint on the plastic grillwork covering my windshield wiper transmission on top of the firewall. How is the best way to remove the paint without damage to the plastic? I have read oven cleaner. Any experience?

I've used brake fluid to remove paint from interior panels, worked very well

We model makers have been using Easy Off oven cleaner for years. It takes awhile.

I've had good luck using my bead blasting cabinet. I use aluminum oxide.

Good idea. I've seen it take the paint off of valve covers, air cleaners and firewalls.
