Unless you are in love with that particular car and are planning on keeping it forever, you would be much further ahead buying one that need alot LESS work....
Is it a W72?

Yes it also has the w72 option. It's all original down to the alternator so no parts need to be found. My son is wanting a trans am se and the car is local.

Finding SEs is usually tougher...Hitman's site has some good info to help verify if TA is real SE...http://www.78ta.com/special.php
I generally agree u r further ahead by buying one that needs a lot less work... it sounds like basically most of body is gone...sounds like only good areas are hood, roof, rockers, doors...though on closer inspection you might find u need rockers and say a door skin?... with amount of rust car has..Id think should also inspect the back panel..behind the gas tank in front of rear bumper..most fbodies have bad rust here...and closely inspect the rear frame rails/channels...as these often rust too... If you have all the tools and body work experience and lots of time and energy this could make some sense...esp if u can get it cheaper..like $1500-2000..would be pretty neat car SE's with W72 and WS6 nice unique combo |

Turn around and walk away from the car and don't look back. Life is too
short to restore a 70's T/A that's rusted from stem to stern. You can find a better use for your time, like hugging your wife, perhaps. If you feel you must spend the next few years working night and day on a T/A, come to Texas and buy one that isn't rusty. They're everywhere down here. |
