RIP.... but a terrible man off the field -- which was most of his life. Football was a very small part of it.

May possibly be the only reason he lived so long. A lot of longtime NFLers have checked out in their 70s, some even before 70. Guys that do a lot of heavy hitting, and Jim Brown dished out the punishment to his tacklers.
