June or beyond Fremont built '67s...
Curious to hear from others that own or have owned a late built '67 from the Fremont Plant, VIN code "Z". What's your build date? Mine in 06D, 4th week of June.

A little OT, but my '66 GTO is 07C (Fremont).
Also interesting is it came with a '67 LH inner fender with the bigger brake booster clearance divot, and side frame rails with 2 sets of holes for the T-400, but still has the '66 rear spring perches. |

That's a very late '66, had to be near the end I would think?
That is very interesting! Thanks for sharing that! |

Wouldn't mind learning more on the 67 to 68 changeover dates. |

I also get a kick out of telling Tesla owners that my '66 GTO came out of the same factory as their car did. They're like, "NO WAY!".

It doesn't say, so I've always assumed that was documented only for the "home plant" in Pontiac, Michigan, and that the satellite plants would follow at their own cadence as the launch team traveled from plant to plant. Sometimes you can find contemporaneous literature that nails it better (like documents from an open house, or articles in the newspaper). We have open house literature for the 1963 calendar year opening of the Fremont plant (start of '64 model year). K

On my '67, three of the four T-3 sealed beams are of the '68 type and I'm confident that they are original to the car. |
