Default Has anyone used the Goodmark aftermarket full quarter panels?

Running into an issue. Has anyone here used the Goodmark aftermarket full quarter panels on their '75-'81 Bird? I am having problems with the fitment of the sidemarker lamps. Anyone else have this problem? If so, what was the fix?

I thought that I had heard about this same problem with the quarter skins....poor fitment and/or alignment. I think the solution in those cases was to fab in the original sidemarker metal onto the new quarter panel metal.

Yeah I’ve experienced the same trouble. Just had to open up the stud holes, maybe a little hammer and dolly work.

Full 1/4 panels are totally different product than cheap "skins" aka hip 1/4's.

Have never ran across a "skin" for a 2nd Gen Bird that had the correct fluting to the bottom lower rear 1/4, one of the easy ways to spot cheapee rust repaired 2nd Gen Birds.

Thanks for the replies on this. It sounds like I will need to elongate the holes for side marker bezel studs. Always something...………...

Just for an update on this, I contacted Goodmark direct about the several issues we had with these quarters. The rep at Goodmark told me that there is only one set of dies for these quarters, so anyone that sells the 1975-1981 full quarter panel is selling the same product. Goodmark was not involved in the development of these panels and thus had no input. It is a shame when manufacturers don't go the extra step to make sure their product is decent for the end user.

I have heard the same thing (just not from the sellers).
