Crazy mounts right in front of rear wheels ... I called multiple people and no one had heard of them until I posted here ... lol Anyway I've got to get new mounts ... anyone know of a company that produces good mounts ... I'm doing in all mounts in rubber and not urethane ... I think!

Finally got frame out of the way ... need to strip the rear and the frame goes to powder coating.
Next week the body goes on the rotisserie. Parts being purchased. Some restoration started (grills) on parts. Making headway now that the weather is braking. Hooray ...

some more ... can't wait for the frame to come back and start the rebuilding process while I try and get the one more body patch done on the lower rear driver's qtr.
My son would have been proud of the way it's coming ... and Lord willing the final product as well.

Car is on the rotisserie! Pics tomorrow ... I just want to make sure it rotates ... without falling apart! I'm nervous ... it's hard to believe that 4 bolts through body mounts can support the car as it hangs on its sides? My friend who lent me the rotisserie will come by tomorrow and check it out to put my mind at ease ...

Phil it may not be necessary on your hard top but on my convertible my builder tacked some 1" square tubing X bracing between the door jams just to be sure nothing moved.

Here it is on the rotisserie ... was concerned about 4 bolts holding the weight when vertical ... so I purchased a pair of 10 ton jack stands and braced them underneath both side so it won't move at all! It was a steal of a deal for the Sunex stands from Amazon and couldn't pass it up.
Also pics of a restored #'s matching shifter and rods ... an awesome deal on the entire set that included an excellent condition lockout switch as well! Enjoy the pics ... frame will be back from powercoating in June sometime ... gotta get the stuff off the bottom of the car and the dents removed (I'm trying to bring in a guy for that who does excellent work rather than make it worse if I try! lol)

Got the tach cups today ... thanks Brad for your assistance and thanks Ian for having them made. OUTSTANDING! Are they heavier than the originals? It's hard to believe that a couple of thin screws hold that unit up on the dash ... that cup was HEAVY. Awesome work on them ...

Frame is out for powder coating!
Body is getting bottom scrapped off and coming along great ... no rust and no surprises but loads of elbow grease. Diesel fuel took 5 days to soak in ... going back at it on my day off tomorrow! The remaining body work begins tomorrow (lower driver qtr and a couple of trunk patches. Also met a gentleman who developed an 8 lug disc brake system for Rousch ... he's going to give me all the specs and I think I'm gonna do it. More pics this week ...

Here are some pics ... the patch for the lower qtr is already made up ... the wheel lip piece not yet ...
I purchased a trunk pan from Classic 2 Current and my guy said he'd rather make a couple of pieces with the depth of original contour than use the pans from them which are not contoured nearly enough. They already told me that they would take back what I purchased if unused ... hopefully they didn't lie to me! I also bought (while there why not) the trunk drop offs and trunk mounts. The drop offs on the car are mint ... no issues ... the trunk mounts on the car are excellent BUT the "slip nut" may be having issues soooo we've got a few option of which one is to use the new mounts (made by Pontiac Paradise) ... but they are NOT contoured as original ... nowhere near it ... so I'm surprised the Les' description says they are. I'll update to whatever option we choose ...
