Default 62 Delco Manual Master Cylinder

I have the original M/C disassembled. I believe it's a Delco Moraine. I've decided that it is in good shape for a rebuild.
Napa has the rebuild kit, so I have purchased one.
I decided to check some old parts that I've had for approximately 20 years. I found two Delco NOS rebuild kits. (should've looked first}
My question is: Should I use one of these old kits, that appear to be higher quality, or should I use the new one with new rubber seals and other new rubber parts?
Any opinions will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Les

PS: The old NOS kits include the round cover gasket, while the new Napa kit does not.

Do you really want to use 20 year old rubber pieces in your master cylinder? I wouldn't!

I think NOS trim, sheet metal, etc. can be better than reproductions, but I wouldn't use anything NOS if it's rubber.

Especially on a single master cylinder brake system.

If you have it out on the table, I think I would be sending it out and having it sleeved in stainless steel. It is 57 years old!!!

Then use the NAPA kit if the rebuilder does not include all new parts.

Thanks for all the comments and replies. So, new rebuild kit it is. At least I can use the lid gasket from the old kit, since it's in much better condition than the original.

BTW, where do I send the MC for sleeving? Do they also do wheel cylinders?

Thanks again, Les

Thanks for the info. I see that they use brass sleeving. Is that as good as stainless steel?

I used White Post years ago, to sleeve a Master Cylinder for an early Pantera I was restoring. The Italian company that made it went out of business about 400 units into the production run. It came out great and is still in service 35 years later. Brass sleeves are great.
