I have them on my 67 and they seem fine to me. I wanted to restore my originals but was told that I wouldn't be happy because they are so long and flat that they would not be able to get them perfect.

I had my originals straightened and polished. They look great. Not cheap, but well worth it in my opinion.

I wish I had my original mouldings, mine were the first gen, but were lost/stolen in the early 80's, when I had a paint job...the body shop closed one location and moved to another mid job....and my chrome was gone....I have some second gen lower rockers, but pretty beat up. So I've ordered the repos

I also got the Ames. Quality was good, once i got a set that wasn't bent in shipping. Had to return two sets, even though they really did a nice job packaging them.
