Which engine harness
Friends 66 389 with ram air exhaust manifolds. Do we use the stock 66 engine harness,(Ames M09415) or the 67 harness w/RA/HO w/o a/c, M11490. Thanks

If using the Ram Air manifolds the wiring is routed differently, it goes down the front of the drivers side head and then back to the starter along the block through a tube attached to the motor mount. So I'm guessing the '67 harness should work unless there are other differences unique to '66.

Did your friend make any other modifications to the car. Is the alternator still stock with an external voltage regulator? If any mods were made your friend may want to contact M&H for a custom harness. They have several listed for the 67 and one may work. If not they can build one to meet your friends needs.

Just a follow up, ordered the 67 R/A harness and it worked no issues. Thanks
