In defense for those of us who work for the government that's been me on more than one occasion
I usually get away with it on here because people have seen me around the forums. But when I spy something on my local Craigslist when I'm in the sandbox it can be a problem. I missed out on a complete 429 SCJ engine for cheap last year because I couldn't find anyone at home to go get it and the dude thought I was trying to tell him I was the king of Sudan and he had won the lottery.

Every time I run a new ad, I get a text within a couple of hours asking me to send something to an email address. The text is obviously computer-generated and always has the exact ad title, exact asking price, a question as to whether the item is still for sale and then some sort of request to send something to email. The purpose is to harvest email addresses for spam emails. One amusing texting exchange:
them: please send pictures to email blah, blah, blah me: can I just text them to you? them: I can't receive texts. I'm on a ship at sea. me: but you're texting me now them: (silence) A few times, I've gotten exactly the same message from 3 different phone numbers. Eric
