Great story! I love seeing documented cars that shouldn't have been built. Looks like it could be quite a time-capsule as well.

I don't think this is a car that "shouldn't have been built." Like Mike suggested earlier, I think it makes sense that it's a car that was ordered within the time frame before the Judge package was cancelled.

I think you’re right. I just meant a car that goes against common assumptions. Cool car regardless!

the Last Judge Built
the ONLY known OrbitO 71 Judge in existence

crazy father-in-law really knew how to upset the history books.

Car could have been legendary for the past 20 years with those 2 Titles if he would have somehow made his way on here.
A lot of legends don't get recognition until after they have passed.
Guy was obviously an unrecognized genius

I think evidence points it to being the last Judge. But I don't think we'll know till we see all the invoices, no?

I can't 100% disagree with that.
Thats beyond our capacity.
Only 1 man can open that door as he so chooses.
so .... 99.9

But , this OrbitO has 20 years of world wide web data sharing under its belt so far.
So it has an undisputed 20 year retro-active legend under its belt now.
Well, 2 Belts , with the OrbitO Color.

Its like the Ric Flair of 71 Judges
carrying a Belt over each shoulder.

ol' Ric could get beat once in a while - but it wasn't ever easy.
You had to pin him down for the count to take one or both of the belts.
Until that , he strutted around with 1 over each shoulder.

Guys - here's an update you can rely on. I have been speaking with the owner (original family) for months in preparation for taking this car out of it's hibernation and returning it to operable condition. I have provided validation of what the car is via pictures and conversation. I know where the is now. I was, however, unable to assist in the "de-barning" day activities, but I expect to see it soon. I know who helped the owner with this task and I have a folder of pics from it's storage time. I will discuss said car and details with the other GTO helper tonight. I don't assume to speak for the owner. I will not identify the owner. I was one of the very first people to speak with the owner about the car. it IS neat. It MAY be the last one. It is surely desirable and a great story.

I would expect to see more posts here by someone else in the near future with more information. I will share one picture from hibernation to whet your appetite...shortly

Invoice as in PHS? Data plate? Order form? Build sheet? What really proves last one built?

Truly most fascinating is OO color which was available as special paint.

But, having one in original paint and all original as a time capsule.

Only thing cooler would be a 71 Judge Vert OO built in April for summertime fun!

Mr. Ransom...It is my understanding that this car is planned to be shown at the 32nd Annual Land of Lakes Muscle Car Classic show on August 12th - exactly 1 month from now.

As the title says. The Last Judge...

What's is the criteria for this?

Order date, Data plate date? Invoice date? Build sheet date?

Then, there's the whole delivery date thing?

I assume since this is a original family car. They have all the documentation.

WOW! Cool Judge.

That's why I say " Don't ever say never".

I have seen some cars that are far from the norm . With the right timing and Contacts a lot could get done back then.

Hope to see some updated pics soon all cleaned up.

I'd say from what was posted, the probability is quite high as to this being the last one built... I am guessing the thread title was tongue and cheek because of the fact that one was not supposed to be built this late, and the probability of another being built after this are so incredibly low.
