Check the ground wire of the headlite harness to the radiator core support.

Can you just flip the tan green wires in the connector at the dimmer switch? That seems like the easiest solution.

Switch doesn't care which position the tan or green wires are located. If your meter leads are long enough, unplug the dimmer switch and the headlight plugs. Check the tan wire continuity (0 ohms) between switch and plugs. Do the same for the green wire. All plugs must be removed to avoid back back feeding through the headlight ground. If there is a miswire at the firewall plug the meter will show 0 ohms when connected from tan to green and vice versa

First thanks to all who chimed in with help.
Second, an apology for the fire drill. Still have the same issue but have clarified symptons..... When the brights are ON the bright headlight indictor is OFF but the Right Turn Signal Indicator is fully ON When the brights are OFF the bright headlight indicator is faintly lit up along with the Right Turn Signal also being faintly lit It gets weirder... If headlights are OFF and the flashers are ON both turn signal indicators are strong and flash simultaneously If headlights are ON with brights OFF and the flashers are turned ON Left turn signal indicator flashes bright but right turn signal indicator is faint and bright headlight indicator is also faint If headlights are ON with brights ON and the flashers are turned ON the turn signal indicators flash strong but not simultaneously (left/right/left/right/etc) All exterior lights - headlights, turn signals, flashers all work properly regardless of interior indications |
