Default Inconsistent turn signal flash time

I tried two (one new) turn signal flashers and the signal flash is inconsistent. It doesn't keep a normal flash time. Does something else affect this? All lights work as they should. This is on a 72 Lemans vert.

If your bulbs are like these https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Halog...Pins,7227.html from Speedway they consume about 60% more amps than standard 1157 bulbs. You flasher works on how much current (amps) are going through it. Increasing the current makes it flash faster (until it burns out). Call Speedway (or wherever your bought the bulbs) and ask them what flasher to use.

Sorry, I meant they are stock 1157. The headlight bulbs are halogen.

Anytime I've had a fast or slow flash the problem was in one of the bulbs or sockets. Corroded, partially shorted, bad ground, burnt out bulb, etc. All of those things can effect current flow through the flasher as Bill says.
You might try removing bulbs one at a time, unplugging sockets and that kind of stuff.
