Default '69 Ram Air convertible resto

I picked this up a couple years ago and finally started the process. RA III M-21 3.90 car. Verdoro green/black/black...will not be green in the end

New floors, passenger 1/4 skin and outer wheel house, few small patches in other spots.Good deck lid, trunk pan. Driver's 1/4 was replaced with NOS a long time ago.

Wasn't going to be a frame-off but it looks like it's headed that way now.

Frame was blasted and had repairs around steering box. Front suspension will be restored too, just needed them back on for sheet metal work.

Looks very nice. Floor pan looks good too. How did you brace off the body to keep it from flexing? From the pic it looks like the doors were left in place.

Thanks folks.

I wasn't there when the floor was put in but I believe the body was still bolted to the frame and the doors were left on for proper support. Inner rockers were also done at that time, to facilitate the one piece floor plan installation.

Off the trailer and back home. Trying to scrape up some change to continue engine rebuild.

Only issue at this point is, Parts Place exhaust head pipe on driver's is too long and tailpipe hits the differential.

Option A, Have my buddy at his shop cut and mig 3" out.
Option B, wait on Parts Place and jump through loops for them, proving that their jig wasn't right that day and that I'm just getting to putting on the exhaust (over a year, after pruchase).

Did I mention that I already clamped the muffler to the head pipe! If I have my Buddy cuts and welds, promise not to tell anybody

Default RAIII Vert progress

It's getting scary real...I've never taken a car this far apart and put it back together this far...I've had over 100 GTO's, most just to flip but you'd think I'd have done one to this point. Usually, I have to sell before it was finished. My money comes and goes like the tide Funds aren't an issue right now. This thing could actually drive !

IS the original block gone or still intact? What are your plans there?

Default ram air convertible

Original block is gone. Car has a 2nd week of February, of '69 production date. I've got a complete November of '68 WS block, carb to pan. It was standard bore but will need to go .030 over. It's at the machine shop, ready to be rebuilt when I give them the green light. M-21 and 3.90 are already rebuilt. Hopefully by spring, it'll be on the road.

I'm thinking about going with red Legendary interior instead of black. I've got the black interior, that's nice driver quality already but think red might be a worthy investment?
