Here's a real crusty '74 up north. VIN 2V87X4N167849. It is in the SD455 registry from back in 1996 at 56,000 miles. Originally from Vancouver B.C. Canada.

Just dropping this here, I have NO idea what SD stands for..from a Wikki page..
"In mid-1972, Pontiac introduced the limited production Ventura SD for the Southern California market as sort of a sporty-luxury compact to counter imported luxury sedans then taking the U.S. market by storm. The SD option added the high-back Strato bucket seats from the Firebird along with a Custom Sport steering wheel, Rally II wheels, uprated suspension and other items. Some 250 Ventura SD's were built for 1972, all at the GM Nova/Ventura assembly plant in Van Nuys, California plant."

The A/C system has been modified as well. Updated refrigerent caps and aftermarket POA valve, and expansion valve with one-size-fits-all copper sensor tubes. The factory installed expansion valve tube was just long enough to reach the evaporator line but this one has about two feet of coiled line. (Common problem with replacement parts - even the Delco pieces).

Pretty car. I love those red interiors! Lots of cool original paperwork, too.

There were a few things that did not make sense on a 10,000 mile car

Was this car sold 2 years ago out of Florida? I'm pretty sure this car was at the Daytona Turkey Rod Run in Nov 2014. The guy was looking for someone to buy him a new ZR1 corvette in exchange for the car. He would not say what he wanted for the car.

By the looks of the car there, it didn't appear to be original miles (unless it's a different car).

Is John Lancione on this site?

Saw 'Fast & Loud' just now and he sold his 74 SD TA for $35,000 to Grease Monkey!

Car looked awesome, supposedly low miles.

I saw that too last night John.

It must be scripted so that Richard looks like a hero buying these but 35k for a 1 owner, 1 repaint SD???

That's a very nice car (a lot of very nice ones down here) But that's a lot of money for a 74! Can't wait to see what the 2 69 T/A verts bring.

If someone buys something here, I'm driving back to NJ empty.
