Hidden wiper help
I just installed my wipers, the motor, arms and blades are all repro. Blades and arms are from Parts Place. The linkage is original to the car. The issue I'm having is the driver side wiper at the start of it's swing and at the return end of the swing sits off the windshield and not wiping that part of the windshield. Also as the pics show when in park the driver side sits off the windshield. Any ideas? The passenger side is fine and it appears the "articulator" arm is causing this but there is no adjustment for it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Is the wiper motor crank arm original from the car, or did it come with the motor?
From the PHS website; The crank arms also has a two letter code stamped, indicating what vehicle line they were for. The A bodies were letter coded AB while F bodies got letter code Y or T depending whether it was a Firebird or Camaro. The big cars got different codes, usually AF. We have included a chart to help you identify the wiper assemblies from their respective divisions in the 1970s. http://phscollectorcarworld.blogspot...view=timeslide

I may not have explained my issue clearly. The problem is not the arc of the wipers, that is fine and just to answer the question the crank arm is original to the car. The problem is the wiper sits above the glass (not touching the glass) at park and at the beginning of the arc. About 1/4 to 1/2 way up the glass it lays flat to the glass and wipes as it should. Thanks for the reply.

What year is your car? Mine is a 73 and both wiper arms have a bend in them towards the end. I almpst think with yours being straight, it might not be the correct wiper arm. I may be wrong though, just throwing it out there. Let me try to get some pictures and I'll post them.

Thanks Pepi,
You are correct mine are straight. My car is a 70. Unless your bend is down towards the glass I don't think it would make a difference. Looking at your pics it appears the bend is towards the front of the car not down towards the glass. It may be that I just need to bend the arm a bit, but before I get to that point I think I'll try to take a look at some other examples. Thanks for your reply and the pics!
