Default Ames Exhaust Supplier Question

Does anyone have an idea who is making the exhaust for Ames? I used one of their systems on a 70 TA I recently had and was really impressed with the fit and the sound.

I need an exhaust system for a 68 L78 Camaro that I will be working on.

Thanks,
Tim

well, if you go on the Ames website and look for exhaust for a 70 bird, it says they are Flowmaster.

I should have been more specific (and you are right). They sell a stock replacement system (nor was it Pypes as well)

Thanks for the response!
Tim

Ames won't tell you the manufacturer on parts (if it's not already disclosed) to avoid you getting the info and ordering direct.

You can try...but when I did for a backordered part that I needed quicker, they would not divulge.

It is some guy in Kansas or Oklahoma. He did a 68 kit for us - superb work.

Aren't the main two manufacturers Waldron and Gardner for these stock replacement systems?

Classic sells some garbage that doesn't fit. Also pypes makes a system thats pretty good, but still needs cutting and some slight tweaking to fit.
