Did you change over to 15" rims, and are you also running factory size rubber? If not, what size tires are you running and how's the clearance? Paul

tom s, I love the look of the caps. When my '65 is done, I want to do a '63 and that is the look that I want to shoot for. Very nice.

Default 64 bonne convertible

hi guys, here goes trying to send better pics of my car. I`m barely computer literate but if I try often enough, I`ll eventually get it right. I bought my convertible off a used lot in Ft.Wayne IN in 1971. originally a 389 with a 4sp hydramatic, it now has a (1969) 428 and a turbo 400. this winter`s project is finding ways to make it handle better with radial tires. I think a larger sway bar and faster steering might be helpful. thanx for the interest.

Carnutt, I have my 64 handling very well now.
I've found the following to work well,
-Addco large front sway bar, no rear bar needed.
-AGR 12 to 1 steering box with new rag joint from Ames.
Bleed the AGR steering box WITHOUT the pitman arm connected, turn it lock to lock about 200-300 times to bleed all the air out.
-Scarebird front Disc brake conversion. http://www.scarebird.com/7009.html
-225/70-15 Firestone Firehawk 500 tires on 15" rims of your choice. Firestone also makes a great V rated tire called the Firehawk P-V tire thats used on Police cars.
http://ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/details...ountry=US&shop
I used vintage Americans but there are many well made new rims out there like the Radir, American, E-T ect.
-Replace the ball joints with Moog or Rare units.
-Replace the idler arm with a Moog or Rare unit.
-Upper and lower control arm bushings with Moog or Rare rubber joints.
-Bilstine shocks but the rear shocks will need heavier studs pressed in.
-Align the car at 0 to 1 degree positive caster, 1/32 toe in and 0 to 1/2 degree negitive camber.

Good luck, thats a great looking car!

Thumbs up ATTN. OBNXSHZ

to the Forums.

Beautiful pair indeed, where in LA are you located? There are 4 Pontiac-only car shows planned this year, and it would be great to see one, or both of your fine rides there.
