The way I understood it is that they weren't allowed to be above the headlights.

That sounds more like it.

I think it had to do with the the parking lights being over the headlights or maybe height restrictions. My 4 speed '67 GP was originally from PA and does have the "relocated" parking lights. I have a '67 GP parts car and have everything to convert the parking lights over to the "right way". I am very tempted to change it over but don't want to ruin the cars originality....(low mile original paint car).

You could always change it back to the PA system.

They just look better without the lower parking lamps.

Thanks. Yes, it's a great car to start with. Very little rust, original 428, nice color, and lots of factory options. Just tinkering with it now to get everything working again.

Steve, this is the car I was getting your advice on regarding the disc brakes a few months ago. Got all that back together and now it stops when you push the pedal!

Alan,

Put the wheel covers and the skirts on, wash it and post a new picture. It will look like a new car!

I'm glad that your brake situation is now OK.

What else do you need for it?

Steve,

I've been going back and forth about those disc brake wheel covers. Some days I can take them, and some days I just can't do it. I really want Rally IIs for it. In the mean time I thought about putting some white walls and the wheel covers on it and living it with for a while. Haven't decided yet. Had a setback with the motor yesterday, so all that's on hold right now.

I think I have all the major pieces for it, but I still need a few things. At some point I'll need a driver's window, a windshield, maybe even a rear glass. Need an inner fender bracket for the underhood light, the door panel hand pull pieces that screw inside the door panel pulls, the wiper motor access plug, and the correct blower motor resistor. I've got some time before I pull it all apart for major restoration. The good news is I had gotten everything working on it.

It does look a lot better when it's wet!!

And as of yesterday, now I need a timing chain cover.

Alan, I suffered with the Disc Brake wheel covers for years. I did have a set of 15" wires from a 69-72, but I used them on my wagon. They look just like the 65-up 14" wires. I bought a 70 Bonneville parts car and it came with 4 correct 15" Rally II's, which are on there now.

Call Tony Dagata in Woburn Mass @ 781-933-8572, nights. He should have everything that you would ever need.

Here's a few of Ruthie---named for the previous owner---a fiesty 85ish lady farmer.
One of my favorites was taken this past year in the Memorial Day parade--looks like a frame out of the Zapruder film! Enjoy.
