From what I know know without seeing it, the guy did not even do any bodywork, prime or paint and the engine is apart was not built. If I ending up hauling all the lose parts and hope the important items are still around and recovered I will be trying to re evaluate the Value ... Ughh

It was in person, Ginger ..Art's sister saw the car in the shop two weeks ago still faded blue with just tape on the windows and was told the engine was in another shop in a million pieces.....

As someone who just went through this before moving 3000 miles... I'd advise them to reconsider that plan... I know we can't influence everyone though.

Yep its not my call but I just got an update and I think it may actually at least getting primed and painted supposedly by Wednesday next week and supposedly the guy is talking to his motor man which is scary, rather it stayed apart and hope my buddy can still buy it just painted though and we could assemble engine ourselves

Verified WG code on 670 headed factory chrome 428 360 hp, manual 3 spd with power steering and A/C but manual drum brakes. Need floor pans and full interior job, gotta luv the Blue exterior with Parchment white buckets! I did put a breakover bar and 15/16th socket down on the crank bolt and it moved easy and wasnt stuck. I glanced at the carb and it had a round tag on the side with if I remember a 7027263 ? Seems like the correct carb.

Two months later its supposed to be getting painted by mid May..blah blah blah, my friends sister wants this over. I will be picking up all the lose parts and car in May hopefully finished or not

Don't want to see it go away, even if it takes 5 years or more to finish it we want to see our late friends last project to completion or at least the street and strip. I wouldnt mind if it was all still straight with faded Tyrol Blue but with new parchment interior, rechromed bumpers and the driveline fresh

I did finally score the HiPerformace Cars 1967 issue with the Royal prepped 67 2+2 4 speed 428 HO Catalina with 4.11 Safe T Track up against a Ram Air 67 Firebird and 67 Ram Air GTO

Larry, very sorry about your buddy. Have you heard anything lately about the 2+2? It would be great just to get the parts instead of waiting for the guy to finish the paint. At least you would know that they were still around. Good luck

The douche doesnt respond to calls or emails, I spoke to my buddy son that lives in the area and told him I need ot get up there with him and recover all we can. He has the interior parts although most of that is junk. I would atleast like to recover the engine, carb tranny etc and get the rolling body out of the shop but no progress yet.

I know it sucks and you probably don't want to hear it but.......you need to make sure you have your back side and bases covered by ensuring that you have filed all appropriate complaints, notified the sheriff - maybe even request that they accompany you, make sure you have at least one witness with you, etc.... If this situation goes south it will not matter what was promised on an oral agreement. You need to ensure you are morally and legally in the right. Otherwise you could find yourself in a very tough spot, not of your doing.

PS....I am not an attorney, I don't play one on TV nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn. I am not even speaking from experience here. Just life in the US in the 21st century. I am just saying to make sure you take care of yourself and not let the situation turn into one where you are having to defend yourself, physically or legally. This looks like potential trouble. Thansk blubomber, well wait and see. The title is in hand of my buddy's sister and will be mailed to me, she has around 7000 dollars in cancelled checks the guy was paid and she maybe be finally going have an attorney send a letter. She lives in Maryland , car is in Wichit Falls about 3 hours from me. The plan was to have title in my hand and a peacefully hand off of the car as is but IDK.

Progress this week, just as I was getting out of the hospital from my bariatric surgery I got a text with these pics from the son of my late buddy and then a call from from the guy with the car and its just a matter of scheduling a time for me to go load it up and all the loose parts.. Now its a literal basket case.....

What a shame.. Probably was a decent car before they took it apart. Poor car will probably end up getting parted out...
