Default Trans Am specialties of Cherry Hill NJ Catalog/ Literature

I would like to buy a catalog or any literature fro Trans Am Specialties of Cherry Hill, NJ. They were in business from the late 70s until 1985. What do you have?

I agree that most people in the Pontiac world have never heard of them. They were in business from 1979-1985. They sent a Bandit to Motor Trend Magazine for an article and testing in 1980 or 1981. They had the rights to the Bandit name from Universal Studios and built brand new Trans Ams with 400 hp built 455 engines and Turbo 400 transmissions or Doug Nash 5 speeds. There were 30 to 40 cars built. I recently bought possibly the only 1979 10th Anniversary Trans Am they built with 16,000 miles. I would like to have some literature from them to go with the car. The group in Miami goes by Trans Am Specialties of Florida. They are not connected with the original Trans Am Specialties.

Somewhere boxed up, have an original beige cover catalogue from the Trans Am Specialties bunch. Working on my '80 along w a few friends 80's & 81's, i developed a series of performance mods on turbo 301 cars in the early to mid 80's. In researching what was out there, there was nothing in the T/A Specialties catalogue that they could offer. Did spend $$$ with HO Racing & bought a few items from Nunzi. Still remember my first conversation w Nunzi, it was a trip

The TransAm Specialties bunch got some press in an issue or two of the ThunderAm magazine, 81-83. Their first press, must have been where I got the lead to order a catalogue from them. The issue that had a feature that I remember from them was with a 3rd Gen "Bandit". The whole "Bandit" spiel made me want to barf, still does.

I don’t care for the 3rd gen Bandit cars!😂😂😂 There was a local guy had one and he would about get in a fist fight if someone said that it wasn’t a real car! The 2nd gen cars are very unique. There was supposedly 30-40 cars modified with built 455s. Only 1 is known to exist. The car I bought is a 16,000 miles, original paint, always garaged, and is a time capsule. Possibly the only 10th Anniversary car they converted? It cost the owner over 30 grand in 1980 money. There was an article about them in HPP talking to Chuck Posey , the owner of the company. You can Google Trans Am Specialties of Cherry Hill,NJ and the article will pop up. It is an interesting read.
