Default 68 wagon engine harness questions

I’m rebuilding the engine wiring harness for the 68 catalina wagon. it was really hacked up... I’m splicing wires in from the parts car harness but have a couple of questions.

1 can I replace the fuse-able link with a inline fuse? If so what amp fuse?

2 the a/c was wired direct to the alternator
Isn’t that supposed to have an inline fuse?
I’m guessing yes... does anyone know what size fuse that takes?

3. Is there a link to fullsize wiring other than the one in the pontiac service manual? I also need a diagram for the wagon rear window and power bench

Thanks,
John

I wouldn't replace the fusible link with a fuse. It has to be a rather large fuse to support the current as it's going to feed the entire car.

The wiring diagram in the service manual is all that there is except for what is in the body manual (power windows and seats are in there I believe).

I can't remember the AC question, but for some reason I don't think they had a fuse. I am very much likely to be wrong.

I can’t find my body by fisher book
Can someone send me a pic of the page if possible

So I was looking through my stuff and I found a a/c harness from a blue 4 door I parted out iyears ago...”hoarder”

So There is a inline fuse at the alternator for the a/c system it’s 30amp

The fuseable link seems to be in good shape so I’ll keep it like that.
