The top on the 350 car might be a little off, or the color balance on his camera.

The old paint chart i have for 68 makes Primavera look more brown/grey toned.
The color chart on FGF site looks more like these cars do.

The Aussie 400 car is pretty spectacular ... beyond the color combo
Yes, code 8 was a gold vinyl top. The 350 car has clearly been re-done, and the green top may have just been someone's guess at the correct color based on what the faded original gold top looked like. Or to match the faded gold interior...? Looks horrible. Car's full of bondo, too.

The 400 car appears to have its original top, as the ad states. The gold tended to fade/discolor badly.

I used to own a car identical to the 400 one (auto/air/deluxe, etc.), except mine also had hood tach and gauges. Although you wouldn't think it, Primavera Beige with the gold top and gold interior is a stunning combination on a Firebird, when all the colors are "right".

Almost every one in these colors I've ever seen (including the one I had) was sold new in CA. I think someone in the West Coast zone office figured out that this seemingly unusual mix of available colors looked great together, and encouraged dealers to order it.

It really doesn't look that bad to someone with a lot of '69 FB parts lying around. A bunch of 'em. What's there looks fairly solid.

77 Formula in CA at $152 NR. Looks like a no rust CA car without an engine or transmission. Put some T/A fenders on it and a T/A hood and you could build a sweet car on the cheap.

69 T/A in Iowa at $91K. It has a Non original engine. Is it still worth $91K? I know some of you own these unicorns, but most I've seen have the original engine. It's a nice car regardless.

Yes, but it was Corvette. I would check it out in person before buying anyway.

This car sold for $17.1K and I think that's a good deal for a 69 Sprint convert with a rebuilt engine. I watched it end and it shot up from $11.1K to $15K with 50 seconds left, then climbed up from there. If you bid on a car like this on eBay, figure out what is your absolute max bid is and wait until there's 15 seconds left before submitting it. By the time you submit it, there will only be a few seconds left in the auction and a potential bidder may not have time to counter.

70 GTO in Moreno Valley CA at $1K NR. They claim it runs and is the original drive train. Crusty and rusty rode hard and put up wet, the engine is worth where it is now.

That was solid money on the Sprint.

Pro’s include attractive color scheme, mostly original paint and interior, looks straight too

Con’s include automatic (at least in 69 all sprints with auto are 3 speeds), manual steering and brakes, needs paint and floors replaced sets off some alarm bells

Will be a beaut when redone and ragtop, auto trans sprints are rare birds! Two digits production I believe.

Here's a link that claims only 213 1969 Sprint converts were built. I wish I knew where they got the data to state that.

By memory that was the number for manuals, automatics were in the mid double digits.
