Those look to have good potential. He says they are rusty and I don't doubt it but really, they look pretty solid. Three engines including a 400ci to boot.

Ever wonder what a 68 Bird would look like with 69 T/A hood and wing in red with a yellow stripe and 70 T/A fender vents? I have a soft spot for cars like this, because it takes a lot of work to get it to where you want it. That engine reeks of money in it. If you going to build your dream car I applaud the effort, but when it's only 80% done it's not worth $55K.

77 T/A 4 speed car at NR in CA at $1300. If you can get a title it's worth it.

69 GTO in Ohio at NR at $4K. JMHO, but rusty cars like this are only good for parts and there isn't many un-rusted parts on this one. No engine.

Super crusty McRusty 68 GTO convert with a Lemans parts car. The carb is off and water has been pouring down the original engine. A lot of parts, but again, not worth restoring when it's this gone IMO. $4600 NR in Pennsylvania.

They melted cubic money all over that car.
Lots and lots of slick/trick hardware everywhere. I don't think anything is OEM except maybe the windshield wiper assy.
The hood hinges are marvelous works of art just by themselves.

I'm guessing it was intended to primarily be a competition road course car.
The color package may have been to help spotters keep up with it on the track ?

Widening the back of the car body 6 inches had to have been an involved and costly endeavor too.
Good luck to the guy
No telling how much is invested
On builds like this, most of the time they don't even keep track of the costs it gets so deep. Especially on the labor side.

Or maybe he did start adding it all up, and just said Quit

69 350 4-speed at $1500 NR in NY. I think Crusty McRusty has a top ten candidate. Good parts car.

A good one. 68 Firebird convert in AZ at $2500 NR. Has a Chebby engine, but runs. AZ cars usually have little rust. Title may have issues. would love to see the PHS docs on this one.

When you are drinking beer with your friends and one says they have a great idea for a restomod, tell them don't do it.
