Default '55 '56 '57 Shock options

Just installed a pair of Bilsteins in the front of the '57 and they ride great.
For 1949-1957 Pontiacs, Monroe had listed a # 1032 Monroe Matic which is NLA.
Mine had # 1007 MMs in it which on paper, look to be about .5 inches shorter and with older springs or a slightly lowered car, this would seem likely to never be a problem. This # 1007 crossed to 49-54 Chevy & 50-53 Caddy among numerous others. (much wider availability)
I found that a KYB # KG 5514 or a Bilstein # 24-002837 appears to be the same dimension.
The attached photo shows a MM that I removed as well as the new Bilstein.
Happy wrenching!
PS: Note that the extended top of the Bilstein is merely an open space.

I bought Monroe OE spectrum front shocks #5751 and Monro-matic Plus rears #31000 for my 50 Silver Streak. But, I haven't installed them yet.
