Default My new toy

Well, it's not a Pontiac but a close cousin.

I've liked the Saturn Sky and Pontiac Solstice since they came out, but never got around to owning one. My son graduated college last year and was finally ready to buy a newer car. We narrowed his selection down to a Saturn Sky Redline and a newer Camaro.

My son ended up buying a 2013 Camaro RS. We looked at a blue Saturn Sky redline with a 5-spd, but he was too tall to drive it comfortably. A few weeks after he bought the Camaro, the Sky owner emailed me to ask if I was interested. I told him my son bought the Camaro, but I might be interested. He said he was getting ready to trade it in, so he dropped his price, and I bought it. It is a one owner car, never wrecked, and has 68K miles.

It's a blast to drive, and it's definitely stronger than I expected out of a 4-cylinder.

I have always liked them and hope to own one before I leave this earth. I really, really want a 2020 corvette but that will never happen!

I always thought they were neat little cars. Not much for trunk space, though.

The trunk space goes away entirely when you put the top down. Still, it's a blast to drive. The Redline is the way to go.

Good Deal! I always liked the looks of the Saturn better than the Pontiac. There was a Pontiac for sale (white) down the street from me a month or so ago. Other than that you dont see too many on the road anymore.

Congrates, they are very nice driving cars, and believe it or not you Sky has one more cubic foot of trunk space than my Solstice! But my wife is happy that I bought a Solstice as they has 2 Oh S$%@ Handles on the passenger side vs the Sky's 1.

Rare Color also, very seldom see a Blue Sky or Solstice
