I’d love to get another 1/4-1/2” out of it to get a slight rake. I’m feeling done with it for now, but I may end up cutting a 1/4 coil off at some point in the future if I get motivated or if the tire rub persists.

Some pictures. Also, you might have to modify or replace your bump stops.

Appreciate the pics...those might motivate me to take things apart again. I drove it around a bunch last night, did some hard stops and some swerves to plant the springs. It settled another 1/4", but every time I walk into the garage I want it a little bit lower. I now see why people go with coilovers

Sure enough my OCD got the best of me. Took it apart and trimmed 1/4 coil off the springs this afternoon. That dropped it another 3/4" so it's 26" street to fender lip now and it's got a subtle rake. I like this better. Now it feels done.

If it settles more, I'll be even happier. It's got a 1" rake from front to back now, pretty much what it was before I started all this.

I'm really satisfied with how it drives. It feels sturdy, planted, and relatively responsive with the bigger wheels, tighter springs, fatter sway bar, Bilsteins, and Jeep steering box. The YO wheels are way heavier than the stockers, so it seems a little more sluggish on the get up and go, but all in all these updates work well together.

All said and done, I think I'm into this project around $2700. I didn't take the most economical path, that's for sure.

Ken, that turned out great. I agree that if it settles a tad more, then it will be that much better looking!

So OCD's paid off for you as she's looking good. Has the additional drop helped with turning clearance?

A smidge. I have about 1/8” to a 1/4” clearance now. Pretty close, but there’s no indication that it’s rubbing yet.

Looking good. Thinking about going to the 17" for my 67 Firebird. Like to go Diamondback redilnes but dang, those are expensive. $140 for non redlines vs $304 DB redlines, per tire.

Oh yeah, I wrestled with that. This isn't a cheap hobby.

Nice choice

Hey FYR, your car looks great! I am interested to know if the car is stock height or lowered? If so. What did you go with?

One quick word about Diamondback redlines, mine turned pink after prolonged sun exposure.
