Default '64 Upper Control Arm Bumper

I have just recently installed the front control arms and springs on my '64 bare chassis (no body or engine). However, I forgot to install the rubber upper control arm bumpers to the frame. Once the weight of the engine and body are on the frame will I have enough room to get these bumpers in or do I have to uninstall everything and start all over?

You can sneak them in once the weight is on the frame , jack under control arm 1 side at a time , sneak them in .

Thanks. I was hoping that would be the case.

I did the same thing. I was able to sneak them in, but not able to fully push them into the hole. Once I got them seated enough to stay, I jacked up that side and allowed the control arm to finish pushing them in.

If they are warm , sit in sun or under a lamp, they slide in easier.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I have made a note so that I won't forget to install them.

While we're on this subject, I have been trying to install the rear axle rubber bumpers and there is no way I can get them into the long rectangular slots. The rubber is way too hard. Should I heat them up with a heat gun?

Grease em up a bit with some silicone spray , use a screwdriver to get edges started in the slot .

Is there a trick to keeping the repro upper control arm bumpers from staying in or not breaking off?
Simply raising/lowering the car on a lift caused one side to tear off at the bumper nib. Cheap repro or are they too tall?
Perhaps apply lube to them so that they slide better on rear side of upper control arm?
