'69 or '70?
I can't tell if this is a '69 or '70, what would be your guess? Haven't asked the seller for details, but some things don't belong.

Probably a 69 based on a number of features.

Louvers on rear quarter, grille fins, and interior door handles are all correct for 69. What do you see that you don't like?

I would definitely ask questions about the engine. Things have obviously been changed. The exhaust manifolds almost look like the GTO style RA manifolds instead of the long branch that it should have. It has an aluminum intake and although you can't see the numbers on the heads, the shape of the center exhaust ports just doesn't look right for a 69 d-port head...but maybe it's just the pic.

I would say those are definitely later model heads, like 4x or ??? I just looked at the pic of the engine from the passenger side and you can see an accessory mount hole up close to the intake which the earlier heads did not have.

Just some things that caught my eye were the incorrect badging, the '70 signal and tail lamp lenses and now that I look at the motor closer the air cleaner faces the wrong way. Nice looking car, just hope it's a real SJ for that kind of money.

Bob, anybody that has seen your car and criticizes it must not have a brain. It is one of the most beautiful GP's I have ever seen and since it is your car, you have every right to build it as you want. As long as any changes are not misrepresented as original for someone buying such a car, you have built a beautiful and functional work of art.

surest way to spot a 69 other than the outside trim is the inside door handles, 70 used a 70's style pull tab while 69 had a concealed squish type (neat but a lousy design)

Front fenders, lenses front and rear, trunk lid are all 70 , just from looking at the pics . Wasn't the HD breather the duel snorkel ? Must be a chevy guy , with the way the breather is turned , notice the breather tube from the valve cover to the breather is missing !
