Default Pump Gas HP from 10 years ago

So what would a list like this look like today?

Stan

Got this from PZ. http://www.pontiaczone.com/forum/sho...=25451&page=13

Looking to make a list of the fastest pump gas N/A pass made so far. That we know what the record is and we all have something to shoot for. Also you could see where you stand on that list.

OK, just for fun I added a new figure and ranking to the list. I used http://www.dragtimes.com/horsepower-...calculator.php for the info provided with each car to get an idea of the "power ranking" if we cheated and said that air and track conditions (and accuracy of info) were equal among racers.

Just thought I would update the list

Stan your missing my buddy's car.
67 GTO, 3200 lb race weight, 505 cid, ported (340 cfm) non wide port E heads, 14.5 comp, 9.13 ET, 143 mph @ NJ Island raceway.

Hp level would seem to be 750.

Brian,
Does it still weigh the same?

I have gone to a different method to estimate / calculate the HP.

Is this a HP list or an ET list? Or an estimated HP list based on ET?

Bischoff built dad's pump gas engine, with actual dyno numbers of 724hp and 764 tq with a conventional old set of Edelbrock heads on it, on 91 octane. True street car that is driven everywhere.

Still working on ET's as the rest of the car keeps getting wholesale changes.

Okay gotchya thanks Stan

Larry Jones.

His best ET to date is 10.89 at 125 with a converter so loose the shift light stayed on the entire pass and occasionally bangs the limiter. Made 3 converter changes, a rear gear change and several other things. I suspect the car will go quicker when everything is right. Stock suspension, small 275 radial tire etc.. Weighs 3980 with him in it.

OK he has been added. Is there a link to a build thread for his engine where I can get some more information?

Thanks,
Stan

Let me dig and find that Stan. It's in here somewhere.

Edit: See if this works? I'm not the best at linking stuff

https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...d.php?t=788997

And here is some dyno video

https://youtu.be/5WswK-m-zIA

There was another build thread (I thought) with pictures and more detail but I haven't found that yet. It's basically 10.84:1 compression, old set of round port Edelbrocks with bathtub chambers (not wideports) Tony ported to 360 cfm. Victor intake that he modified in his words to kill some bottom end torque, knowing it was going to have a bunch. It's an MR1 block 4.350 bore, with a 4.750 Ohio crank. Dyno'd with the chassis 2" Hooker headers used on the car and runs on 91 pump.

Glad I could help made your dad's day. Thank you for the information that you were willing to share.

I have also added a few engines to the bottom of the list for which I have no track data.

Thanks Steve C. for the updated HP and cam information on your pump gas engine.
