Default Shifter ID?

Thought this would be for my 69 bird, but it's not. If nothing else I need to know how to get the shifter handle out so I can drill it and tap for my 69 setup

If shifter lever is bent nearly straight back it looks like a 67 A-body shifter. It takes a thin shim inserted along side of the bottom of the lever (I think driver side) to release a clip that holds the lever in the body. Can be tough sometimes. IMO I would'nt drill it, these have some value, especially if in good condition.

And once you get it out you should see a number stamped near the bottom. That will tell what it is for.
